I walked into my local grocery store a few days ago and headed for one of my favorite sections: Produce. I noticed a package that had chopped Brussel sprouts with pieces of bacon. YUM!
I remembered that I already had some bacon at home so I decided to see what I could come up with using the ingredients I already had.
you will need:
- 1 package of bacon; cooked, drained and chopped
- 1 lb of brussel sprouts halved and trimmed
- 1 tbsp of olive oil
- 2 tbsp of minced garlic
- 1 tbsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- black pepper to taste
In a large skillet on high heat add olive oil and garlic. let heat for about 2 min
add all other ingredients. Reduce heat to medium
cover and cook for about 5 min.
uncover and cook for an additional 5 min.
